Michael leads the Corporate Tax team and concentrates on all transactional tax aspects, particularly on private equity, corporate
finance and international transactions.
More specifically, his experience since qualification in 1993 has been in both cross-border and domestic transactions across

finance transactions, lendings, capital markets transactions, securitisations, tax-related litigation and general consultancy
tax advice.
Michael has acted extensively for venture capitalists, institutions and management teams on private equity transactions. He
has also acted for many energy-related clients including SWEB, WPD, Innogy and BG.
Michael was at Allen & Overy until 1999, and then at accountants Ernst & Young (in Bristol) before he joined Osborne Clarke's
Bristol office as a partner in October 2000.
