
Con specialises in advising charities and other voluntary organisations, particularly on the powers and duties of their trustees, their tax treatment, and structuring fundraising and other commercial transactions and ventures with commercial parties and other charities.
He also advises regularly on the international aspects of charitable activity, including programmes of social investment overseas and the establishment of endowment funds for the European Development Fund in Africa.
His clients include Macmillan Cancer Support, Shaw Trust, The Bristol, Clifton and West of England Zoological Society and the Society and College of Radiographers.
Con qualified in 1994 at Linklaters and was subsequently a charities and tax partner at Bates, Wells & Braithwaite before joining Osborne Clarke in 2003.
