Lara is head of the Strategic Sourcing Group, specialising in complex and high value procurements.  Expertise including outsourcing, offshoring, contractual joint ventures and services contracts.

She regularly advises on large scale projects, both within the private sector and through various forms of Public Private Partnership, including PFI.  She has recently advised on various projects within the healthcare sector, including APMS contracts with Primary Care Trusts, and in the waste sector, where she acted for one of the contractors engaged on the Lancashire waste PFI project.

Lara has extensive expertise in the rail sector.  In recent years she has advised on the mobilisations of both the National Express 'one' franchise and Arriva's new Cross Country franchise, operated by XC Trains.  Other work in the rail sector includes advising on rolling stock leasing, fleet modification and refurbishment contracts, bids for new franchises and franchise transfers under the Statutory Transfer Scheme.
