Our cross-practice Financial Services expertise has developed over a number of years' experience in the financial services
sector and our team includes lawyers who have previously worked within, or been seconded to, financial institutions. Our
client base of financial institutions includes retail, commercial and investment banks, private equity houses, venture capitalists,
hedge funds and fund managers, insurance and reinsurance companies, insurance intermediaries and financial advisers.
Skills and experience
We have opportunities for candidates who posses experience in Financial Services Regulation, Payments and/or Funds. Your experience in all or one of these areas will have been gained within a recognised private practice or in-house team.
You will have a flair not only for research and exacting analysis of detail, but also for translating the results into a
commercial context in clear written and spoken forms. Drafting precision in both advice and contractual documentation is
also a key skill. You will have a strong, demonstrable appetite to absorb the range of applicable law and regulation and
to make a future in this specialist, increasingly important area and growing team. More experienced applicants will have examples
of business development and marketing
The role will involve a broad range of work researching and assisting the team in advising on financial services and other
regulation of various client business activities.
Team
The position will report directly to Paul Anning, but will involve working and liaison with all members of the FIG team (principally in LO but BO and TVO included).
